LeanForge is a keyword trend intelligence platform built on Google Trends data. We track a curated keyword index across 6 categories (SEO, AI, SaaS, Developer Tools, Security, Carbon & ESG) and surface a 0-100 trend score with its per-signal breakdown, 7-day and 30-day velocity, direction, and a deterministic content verdict so you can spot opportunities before your competitors.

The Free tier is genuinely free: 100 requests per 15 minutes per IP, no API key required. Paid plans unlock higher rate limits and support — Starter ($29/mo: 1,000 requests / 15 min, email support) and Growth ($99/mo: 10,000 requests / 15 min, priority support). Everyone gets full trend history (up to 365 days) and all keyword tools. Need custom limits or private datasets? Contact us about an enterprise plan.

The poller runs every 6 hours and refreshes the least-recently-polled keywords first, within a daily upstream call budget, so how often any one keyword is refreshed depends on that budget. Interest data comes from Google Trends. Scores are derived from complete days only: a day still in progress is never used as the current reading. The API caches responses for a few minutes to keep things fast.

Google Trends. Interest, 7-day and 30-day velocity, and the composite 0-100 trend score are all derived from Google Trends interest data; there is no second source. The CSV/JSON export also carries a page-one result count (pageOneResults, with the date it was captured): the number of organic results on Google page one when the keyword was last checked through a SERP API. It is not a difficulty score, it is no longer refreshed, it does not feed the trend score, and it is not shown on any page.

A composite of three Google Trends signals: 7-day velocity, 30-day velocity, and current interest, with base weights of 45%, 20%, and 35% when all three are measured. A signal that cannot be measured (Google reports 0 for interest below its sampling threshold, so there is no baseline to compute a change against) is excluded and its weight is redistributed across the signals that were measured. If neither velocity can be measured the keyword is not scored: it reports 0, meaning "not measured" rather than "no opportunity", and gets the verdict Investigate.
